What are DTF transfers?

Direct-to-film transfers are full-colour graphics printed onto transfer film, backed with adhesive powder and applied to garments with a heat press. They work on many light and dark fabrics without the colour restrictions of sublimation or the weeding required by heat-transfer vinyl. For buyers, the important questions are not only how bright a transfer looks when it arrives, but whether the artwork is prepared correctly, the finished size is clear and the supplier provides dependable production information.

Choose the right ordering method

Use a single-design upload when one graphic will be repeated at a defined size. Build a gang sheet when you have several designs, sizes or customer jobs and want to use the printable area efficiently. Upload a premade gang sheet when the entire layout is already complete and print-ready. What quality information matters

Look for transparent artwork requirements, final-size resolution guidance, reliable white-ink coverage and clear pressing instructions. Strong N Free prints at up to 1300 DPI, while customer artwork should normally be supplied at 300 DPI at its final print size. A high printer resolution cannot restore detail that is missing from a tiny, blurry or heavily compressed source file.

Understand production and delivery

Production time and carrier transit are separate. Strong N Free lists 1–2 business days for 22-inch and 12-inch gang sheets, 1–2 business days for qualifying single-design orders, 1–4 business days for smaller single-design orders and 2–7 business days for stock transfers. Print-ready gang sheets submitted before 9 a.m. generally ship that business day, although peak periods, artwork concerns and large orders can affect timing.

Confirm the finished dimensions, film type, peel method, pressing instructions, artwork responsibility and whether the posted turnaround means production or delivery.
