What is a DTF gang sheet?
A gang sheet is a larger sheet filled with multiple transfer designs. You can repeat one design or mix different graphics on the same sheet. Instead of paying for each image separately, you use the available sheet area as efficiently as possible.
Gang sheets work well for clothing brands, sports teams, workwear, events and small businesses that need several ready-to-press designs at once.
What to prepare before opening the builder
- Transparent PNG files: remove the entire background so only the artwork will print.
- 300 DPI artwork at final print size: enlarging a small image inside the builder lowers its effective resolution.
- Clean edges: remove white boxes, semi-transparent haze and stray pixels.
- Your finished sizes: decide the width or height of each design before arranging the sheet.
- The number of copies: list the quantity needed for each design and size.

How to build your gang sheet step by step
- Open the builder. Start with the Strong N Free DTF gang sheet builder.
- Choose a sheet size. Select enough length for your artwork and quantities. If you are unsure, start arranging your designs and adjust before ordering.
- Upload your PNG files. Use artwork with transparent backgrounds and check that every file appears correctly.
- Set the exact print size. Enter the intended width or height for each design. Measure the printable area of the garment, not only the garment label size.
- Add your quantities. Duplicate each design until the sheet contains the number you need.
- Arrange the artwork. Rotate and move designs to fill unused areas while leaving a small safe gap between them.
- Review the effective DPI. Aim for 300 DPI or higher. A reading from 280–299 DPI may still be usable, but below 280 DPI is not recommended.
- Inspect every edge. Zoom in to look for backgrounds, clipping, overlapping designs and unwanted pixels.
- Add the finished sheet to your cart. Confirm the sheet dimensions and quantity before checkout.
How to fit more designs on a gang sheet
- Place small logos beside tall or irregular graphics.
- Rotate designs when orientation does not matter.
- Crop every file tightly to the visible artwork.
- Group identical sizes so they are easy to count.
- Use smaller designs to fill the final open spaces.
- Do not stretch artwork simply to fill space; preserve its proportions.
A tightly cropped transparent file usually saves more room than a file with a large empty canvas around the design.
Manual or automatic layout?
Use the automatic option when you want the builder to arrange repeated designs quickly. Use the manual option when you need exact control over placement, want to mix many sizes or are filling small gaps. Always review an automatic layout before ordering.

Yes. You can combine different graphics, sizes and quantities as long as they fit within the selected sheet.
Does the builder improve a low-resolution image?
No. It can show the effective DPI, but it cannot recreate detail that is missing from the original file. Start with the highest-quality artwork available.
Can I use a JPG file?
A transparent PNG is preferred. JPG files do not support transparency and often print a visible rectangular background.
